Spiritillo: Celestial entity brought into being by popular imagination, which has existed in the streets of Naples over many centuries, moving from house to house like a malicious little demon, and serving to justify human faults and weaknesses.
Brando: An Italian variant for the branle, a French dance from the Renaissance, whose steps and movements are set down in the dance manual Orchesographie (1588) by Thoinot Arbeau (the pseudonym of Jehan Tabourot, a canon at Langres Cathedral).
